The Demon-Human Wars
As the years passed, hostilities grew between the humans and the Jillecai. Not understanding the threat that was stirring below the ground, the humans struck first, attacking a small village near the borders of the human lands.
The Jillecai responded with a quick and decisive victory against the encroaching humans, but the humans, with the shorter lifespan than the Jillecai, waited a few years and attacked again, this time on two fronts, the north and the south.
Due to a plague that had stricken most of the females of the Jillecai, the Jillecai found themselves out-manned and outmaneuvered. Abandoning many of their villages to the vicious human onslaught, they fortified their capital, Kkiliri, in hopes of stopping the humans.
The fortress withstood three hundred days of siege, and still the Jillecai fought back, keeping the humans out of the city and fighting for the survival of their people.
Then, a crushing blow hit the Jillecai. The Mistress of the Wolves, Fillena, was struck down in battle against the human King, Herstroth The Black. The Wolf Clan, furious about this turn of events, used their skills and magic to sneak past the humans and slay nearly half of their leaders, including Herstroth and his entire line, ending the line of the Black Kings of the Humans.
With the death of their King and his line, the humans retreated back to their lands, leaving the Jillecai to tend to their wounds.
Three years later, under the Great Dragon of Wind, the Humans and Jillecai reluctantly signed the "Lirinar Treaty", which effectively ended the hostilities between the two nations.
To this very day, the two nations live in a weary coexistence, each race waiting and watching the other, waiting for the other to make a move and renew the blood spilled over the Demon-Human Wars.
