Rise of the Drayds
In the time after the end of the Human/Demon War, a simple hunter went into the depths of the then-tiny Twilik forest. The Hunter, named Twil, stumbled across a clearing, which contained a single beautiful woman.
Enraptured by her beauty, he chased her and was led to a massive tree where he was nearly killed by several more women, all equally beautiful.
Before he left the forest, the woman he had originally met stopped him, and by sharing a kiss, she claimed a portion of his Soul Energy, giving her and her people the power of speech.
It was revealed that she and her sisters where Dryads, cousins of the Fae who had lived in the forest since the Ancient Ones created the world. With his discovery of her on which was known as the Nymphs coming of age ceremony, he became engaged to the Dryad, who was named Ysseyra, and was the youngest of the Dryads who remained.
Over the next year, Twil and Ysseyra repopulated the Dryad race, thanks to the fact that Dryads can bear five sets of children in a little over a month, and the Dryads prospered. Growing the renamed Twil Forest across the entire southern edge of the continent, Twil set his sights on becoming a major civilization, with him at its head.
However, one thing remained; a Capital city.
Gathering his children, the Druids, he asked them if they could make a city from pure magic. The Druids created a great power source, the Dryad Crystal, equal in power to the Great Dragon Crystals, and placed it in the Void itself, connecting the two with a portal. using the power of the Crystal, they created a massive capital, both around the portal in the real world and the void itself.
The prosperous reign of Twil came to an end when he was visited by a strange visitor. Treating this visitor with disdain, it was revealed that it was none other than the Great Dragon of Thunder, the God of Balance himself. Because of the insult, the God of Balance cursed the dryads with a spell of sterility, forcing only one in every 500 Dryads to be capable of giving birth. This, coupled with the fact that males within Dryad society where rare to non existent, made the Dryads reach an equilibrium of births and deaths.
For Twil, the Great Dragon took him to the Void, where he was placed in a great hall, the likes of which was never seen before. It was then revealed of the God of Balance's plans; he wanted Twil to become the God of Fertility amongst the heavenly Pantheon.
And so the dryads where brought back into the world, and Twil was bright into the heavens to become the God of Fertility, diety of expectant mothers and lovers.
