Stats and Their Uses
When making a character for the first time, you might have a few questions about each of the stats and what they do in the game itself. The following information is the uses of every stat and the recommendation of which stat to amplify for your gameplay style
Strength:
The most common of all of the stats, Strength is used on combat to decide how powerful a swing of a melee weapon is, as well as its penetration if the creature is wearing armor, and also gives a small boost to Health.
Intelligence:
This stat controls your ability to think straight, disarm traps, and read. It also is needed for any hope of impressing anyone, especially royalty and nobility. Intelligence also states what bargains you will get from shops, and you will also be able to identify old artifacts to gauge their value.
Dexterity:
This stat is your stealth, your agility, and your precision. Without this skill, you will fall prey to traps more easily, miss your shots with ranged weapons, and, in severe cases, trip over your own feet. Dexterity also controls your combat damage with specific weapons, mainly ranged weapons. Dexterity plays a minor role in Health.
Speed:
Quite simply, your Speed is your ability to move around the field. With high speed, you can close large distanced between yourself and the enemy, or run away quite fast if needs be. The higher the speed, the farther you can move each combat round.
Constitution:
Your Constitution is your ability to withstand damage and external poisons. The higher your Constitution stat, the less susceptible you are to viruses, plagues, poisons, and other such nasties. Constitution also plays a major factor into your Health.
Wisdom:
Your Wisdom is, essentially, your grasp of magic. Magic in Dragonfyre is quite different than in other games. The higher your wisdom, the higher your spell ability, or "Spell Tier". The higher your spell tier, the better you can manipulate your element, with higher tiers ale to turn their very skin into their element at times. The higher your Wisdom, the higher your Spell Tier and your resistance to enemy Magic.
Charisma:
Your Charisma is your ability to speak for yourself, no matter how well. A high charisma can make members of the opposite sex swoon with a word, and lower Charisma can get you thrown out of a Tavern for being ugly. Charisma also controls the beauty of your character, with higher Charisma leading to more beautiful characters.
Health:
While not a stat in itself, Health is one of the more important point-based skills you will have. Players with a higher Health will find themselves able to withstand more blows in combat, as well as resist traps more often, where a player with low health is more likely to die from a sword through the gut or other *pleasant* thoughts.
